With the introduction of new nutritional standards for schools the challenge for caterers is to meet these nutritional guidelines, to a price point, with menu choices that have high “kid appeal”.
In light of these new government guidelines, Moy Park Foodservice has developed a new range of products especially for the education sector.
The products, which include great tasting chicken steaks & nuggets and vegetable nuggets and burgers, adhere to the new guidelines. The new range introduces an innovative crumb and the products have not been fried anywhere in the manufacturing process; best when oven baked or grilled the range provides child friendly, nutritional menu solutions that can be served by school caterers with confidence.
Recent trials had both pupils and caterers giving the Moy Park Foodservice products the thumbs up. Whilst the children applauded the taste, the dinner ladies praised the products for ease of preparation and helping them meet the new government guidelines.
